Ya, the Golden globes are like the AAA of significant awards given to actors for outstanding performances. Regardless, I was pumped to see Dr. Bridges get up to the podium, and receive his award. He spoke with the same slurry majesty that provided "the Dude" with the ability to confidently write a check for milk in the amount of 69 cents. I don't think he needs awards to validate his credibility, but the guy is one of the truly under appreciated actors working today.
I'm not a betting man, but if I were, I'd gladly throw a hamilton or 2 at a bout between Bridges as "the dude" vs. Kurt Russell as "Jack Burton". I'd probably have to give it to Burton... after all, he just wants his truck back.
... and the answer to what you may have asked yourself is, yes.
